Thermal bath


       The thermal water is one of the town's tourist attraction, reaching beyond the region and attracting visitors 
from all over Hungary, and from abroad. There are two thermal baths with several pools in Tiszakécske: one in the 
holiday resort along the Tisza River, the other in Kerekdomb.



Thermal Bath, Camping site and Restaurant at the Tisza River




       The thermal and leisure bath in Tiszakécske is a family run business. The bath is situated near the Tisza River. 
As from 2001, the thermal bath and the camping site are expecting the visitors with modern and extended services. 
On the site of the thermal bath, there are seven pools, all having been modernised during the last three years, the 
facility having developed into a real bathing centre.

       The thermal spring water contains sodium hydrogen-carbonate, silica acid and fluoride, rises from a depth of 1344 m, 
its temperature is 52 °C and has got various healing effects. It is used for pain relief therapy. The water is also 
used for treating rheumatic, articular and gynaecological diseases, for rehabilitation following operations and 
accidents. The water is recommended for people suffering from hyperacidity. There are two thermal water, sitting pools,
in which the water temperature is 34°-38°C. Bubble bath and neck-showers are also available for the visitors. In the
leisure pool the water temperature is 32° C. The pool is equipped with two water-slides and a water attraction for 
kids. The under-water bubbles, the side massage, the massage cabin, the bubble bed, the geyser and the neck-showers
provide a real water adventure.

       In the pool with the giant slide, the water temperature is 28 °C, providing a nice refreshing feeling on very hot 
days. 

In the baby pool the water temperature is 30 °C. It is being very popular among the smallest children providing 
unforgettable experiences.



       The indoor pool is 25 m long with a water temperature of 28 °C. The pool is ideal for those who love swimming.
In the indoor bathing centre, people of all ages can find the appropriate services they are looking for. It serves 
many purposes and meets various demands, such as sport, recreation, recovery and leisure activities. Near the 
swimming pool, there is a jacuzzi pool, with very positive healing effects on the muscles and on the hole body. On t
he indoor swimming pool area there is a bar, a Finnish sauna, and an infrared sauna. Visitors from Hungary and abroad 
have access to services like massage, under-water massage, pedicure and manicure and infrared light treatments. 
During the winter period, those who love swimming, can buy daily or monthly tickets at reduced prices.

Next door, there is a 'three-star' camping site, with free entrance for campers. The campsite , which is open from 
April to October, can host up to 250 guests, and it is located in a very nice, wooded, green area. On the campsite, 
a very modern lavatory block is at the campers' disposal. There are other accommodation possibilities, like cottages,
 apartments and guest-houses near the bath and the camping site.

       On the site of the thermal bath, there is a restaurant - open only in the
 high season - offering Hungarian dishes at low prices. One can also find a refreshment room, an ice-shop and a pub here.

The thermal bath is open every day, all year, in summer from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and in winter from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. 
The hot thermal water pool can be used during the winter period, as well.

Kerekdomb Thermal Bath and Camping site




       The Kerekdomb Thermal Bath and Camping site provides visitors possibilities for relaxation, recreation, sport and 
recovery.

There are four pools with different water temperatures: a baby pool, a swimming pool and two sitting pools. The 
temperature of the water is 63 °C, the water is a certified alkali-hydrogen thermal spring. It is used to cure 
rheumatic, articular and gynaecological diseases and for rehabilitation following operations and accidents.
On the site of the thermal bath, there is a restaurant and small shops offering snacks, meals and drinks.

       The Kerekdomb Thermal Bath is open from May 1st till September 30th . Address: Tiszakécske-Kerekdomb 1.,

The camping site is in a quiet, natural area. There are various accommodation possibilities, such as youth hostel,

Light Railway


The 1000 m long railway line between 'Sportliget' and the bank of the Tisza River, was opened on August 20th, 
th in 1971. In 1990, it  was named it got the name of "Children's Railway of Tiszakécske". The train runs every day 
from May 1st st until August 31st th from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m. The first train It leaves Sportliget at 9 a.m. 
(and then and every hour afterwards) and it startsreturns  back from the other station at 9.30 a.m.

Biking


The area would be ideal for establishing to construct biyciycle trails. In the town, there are biycyicle trails 
though. On the dam, along the river you one can bike up to Tiszaug. The sight of  is marvellous: you can see the 
forests on the flood area and along the pits is marvellous. You doOne doesn't have  not have to ride too much,  
longer to reach the Tiszakürt Arboretum in Tiszakürt. TYou can come over the river can be crossed, using the bridge 
or the floats in Nagyrév or Tiszainoka.




Hunting


The local hunters' association  of hunters has often invites got guest hunters from other parts of the country,  
or from abroad. The gamesOne can  to hunt in this area for are roebucks, hares, pheaasants and wild ducks.




Fishing


You One can go fishing to in the Tisza River or into the backwaters. Fishes cCharacteristic for the area are:  
fishes: sterlet, carp, bream, crucian and cat-fish. You can get aF fishing permits ssion at are issued by the 
'Fishers' Association of Tiszakécske and its Region' each Wednesday and Friday, between 3 and 6 p.m.
